ROME: The supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, met the president of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, Gilbert Hongbo, in Rome on Thursday.
They discussed aspects of the strategic partnership between KSrelief and IFAD, which aims to improve food security, combat malnutrition in the world, and capacity build in the humanitarian and relief field, in addition to exchanging field experience and knowledge.
Al-Rabeeah stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to harness its capabilities and resources in the service of humanitarian issues, and he thanked IFAD for its efforts in alleviating the suffering of affected peoples around the world.
KSrelief has carried out 1,784 projects worth more than $5.5 billion in 76 countries since it was set up in 2015. The initiatives have been implemented in cooperation with 144 local, regional and international partners.
