Faisal Bafarat is the newly appointed CEO of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA).
GEA Chairman Turki Alalshikh issued the decision of Bafarat’s appointment, replacing Amr Banaja, according to GEA’s Twitter.
Bafarat joined GEA in January 2018. He was initially appointed acting CEO before becoming the senior adviser to the chairman of the board.
During his tenure at the GEA, Bafarat managed several founding projects, in addition to his role as head of Riyadh Season.
As CEO, Bafarat is responsible for leading and developing the authority’s strategy, making and implementing decisions, and responsible for the overall performance of the organization.
His earlier career encompasses 20 years of holding several managerial positions. He first began his career in California, US as an engineer at Motorola Technology.
Later, he was appointed as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble, and next joined the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵn General Investment Authority (SAGIA) as vice president of the regional development agency, before becoming its deputy governor.
