Prince Faisal bin Farhan, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s new minister of foreign affairs

Prince Faisal bin Farhan is the newly appointed minister of foreign affairs of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.

The appointment was made in one of several royal decrees issued by ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s King Salman on Wednesday.

Prince Faisal replaces Ibrahim Al-Assaf, who was named as a minister of state and member of Cabinet.

Prince Faisal was born on Nov. 1, 1974, in Frankfurt. After completing his education, he was appointed vice chairman of the Saudi Company for Maintenance and Operation, where he worked from 1996 to 1998.

In 2001, he became vice chairman of Alsalam Aerospace Industries and later became chairman, serving until 2013.

In 2003, Prince Faisal co-founded Shamal Investment Co. and acted as a director until 2017 when he became an adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a senior adviser at the Saudi Embassy in Washington.

He is also on the board of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵn Military Industries (SAMI) and is chairman of its executive committee.

In March 2019, he was named as ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s ambassador to Germany.
