NEOM: The NEOM Board of Directors on Tuesday announced the appointment of Aiman Al-Mudaifer as acting CEO of the company. Al-Mudaifer assumes leadership of NEOM, following Nadhmi Al-Nasr’s departure.

As NEOM enters a new phase of delivery, this new leadership will ensure operational continuity, agility and efficiency to match the overall vision and objectives of the project.

Al-Mudaifer takes the helm of the organization with the support of a strong leadership team across NEOM’s regions, sectors and departments.

RIYADH: ��Ƶ’s $500-billion megacity NEOM has appointed Delugan Meissl Associated Architects, Gensler, and Mott MacDonald to deliver the planning, designing, and engineering for the initial phase of The Line.

In a press statement, the giga-project revealed that DMAA has been enlisted as the urban designer, leading The Line’s concept and detailed blueprint.

The Austrian architecture firm will also collaborate with specialists across various sectors, such as microclimate and ecology, mobility and logistics, and sustainability.

The new office, called “Spirit of Play,” represents the company’s first initiative to build strategic partnerships with businesses, investors, and professionals, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

DUBAI: Sindalah Island, NEOM’s new luxury tourism destination under construction on ��Ƶ’s Red Sea coast, represents a critical milestone in the Kingdom’s economic transformation and proves many of its early doubters wrong, Saudi commentator Ali Shihabi has said.

Appearing on Arab News’ current affairs program “Frankly Speaking,” Shihabi highlighted the significance of Sindalah, saying its launch marked an important shift in global perceptions of the Kingdom as a holiday destination and as an investment opportunity.

RIYADH: ��Ƶ’s upcoming linear city project THE LINE is set to benefit from a new ready-mix concrete factory valued at SR700 million ($186.7 million).

NEOM has partnered with Asas Al-Mohileb to develop and operate this facility, which will focus on producing sustainable concrete primarily for the construction of the smart city, which is designed to accommodate 9 million residents within a compact 34 sq. km footprint.

The multi-plant factory will have the capacity to produce over 20,000 cubic meters of green concrete daily.

According to a statement, this move marks a milestone for the firm, expanding its presence in the Kingdom and deepening its collaboration with NEOM.

The two hotels, set to open in 2027, will offer 350 rooms and suites, each designed to provide distinct, high-end experiences for guests.

RIYADH: Diriyah made history on ��Ƶ’s 94th National Day by setting a mark recognized by Guinness World Records for the largest display of virtual assistant devices.

The show, featuring more than 500 Amazon Echo devices and Alexa voice assistants, was part of Diriyah’s celebrations of the Kingdom’s national day.

According to the Diriyah Gate Development Authority news release, the Echo devices were orchestrated to harmonize ��Ƶ’s national anthem and other patriotic songs at Bujairi Terrace.

RIYADH: ��Ƶ’s NEOM city is set to welcome a new luxury eco-resort, Zannier Zardun, in the Magna region following a recent agreement with the French hospitality group.

The 800-room development, located within the 4-sq. km Zardun area, will feature three distinct buildings, each designed to offer a unique experience, according to a press release.

Situated along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, Zannier Zardun will provide a range of sports and leisure activities, including trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, as well as stargazing, meditation, and yoga.

RIYADH: The Saudi Polo Federation has signed a partnership agreement with the Diriyah Company to build an equestrian and polo center at Wadi Safar in Diriyah.

The new Royal Equestrian and Polo Club will host international tournaments and become “a major landmark in the Kingdom’s sport and tourism scene,” the federation’s president, Amr Zedan, said on Thursday.
