LONDON: Google said on Thursday it will merge teams working on mapping service Waze and products like Google Maps, effective Dec. 9, in a bid to consolidate processes.
The Alphabet Inc-owned company will integrate Waze, which it acquired in 2013 for $1 billion, into Google Geo, its portfolio of real-world mapping products that include Google Maps, Google Earth, and Street View, a Google spokesperson said.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday rejected the new maps released by India which shows the disputed region of Kashmir divided into two parts – Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
The maps released by India’s Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday highlights the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan region in Ladakh, while the remaining part is in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

SAN FRANCISCO: Google is rolling out more tools for users to control their privacy settings.
The company and other tech giants are facing increased scrutiny over the amount of data they collect from their users. Google and Facebook both debuted new privacy tools this year.
Now, YouTube users will be able to set their search and viewing histories to auto-delete after a set period of time.
