CAMBRIDGE, UK: ��Ƶ plans to have its own international polo team within two years, according to one of the country’s star players.

Speaking on the sidelines of the BMG Foundation’s 22nd annual charitable GCC Polo Cup, Amr Zedan, who played alongside Prince William on the BMG Financial team, praised the British royal for his performance during the match.

“Yes, I scored six goals, but it was really due to the support of Prince William, who helped with every play,” he said. “I have played with him for about nine years now and he is a very good player.”

LONDON: The UK is a “natural partner” as ��Ƶ pursues its ambitious Vision 2030 reforms, a high-profile forum heard on Wednesday.

Donald Brydon, chairman of the London Stock Exchange Group, said London would provide “a gateway and a bridge” for international capital as ��Ƶ looks to privatize up to $300 billion worth of state-owned assets.

“The Kingdom’s time for privatizations is now, and the UK is the natural partner to ensure the successful delivery of these,” Brydon told the annual BMG Economic Forum, held in London in conjunction with Arab News.

LONDON: Britain is uniquely placed to help ��Ƶ successfully achieve its development program for its financial sector, a key part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 reforms, the UK’s economic secretary to the treasury told a forum in London on Wednesday.

Addressing the 12th BMG Economic Forum, held in conjunction with Arab News, John Philip Glen MP said that as Britain prepares to break with Europe, that “now, more than ever” the UK stands behind ��Ƶ’s ambitious vision for its future.

Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, scored the winning goal for the BMG team at the 21st GCC Polo Cup, leading the BMG team to a 7-5 victory against Cambridge County Polo Club.
The friendly polo match between Saudi and British teams captained by Prince William, took place in Cambridge on July 10, in the presence of prominent businessmen and dignitaries from both ��Ƶ and the UK, including Prince Abdul Aziz bin Faisal bin Abdul Majid.
Prince William started playing polo at the age of 10 with both his father and grandfather.
