Madinah Police apprehended some 967 violators of the residency and work regulations during the past week through inspection campaigns conducted in coordination with the Special Security and Criminal Investigation Department in Madinah.
The raids uncovered a large number of swipe machines and credit cards.
The campaign covered a number of districts in Madinah, as well as all the provinces and villages under the jurisdiction of the Madinah police.
Around 27,946 violators have been arrested under the direct supervision of Major General of Madinah police, Abdul Hadi bin Dirham Al-Shahrani since the beginning of the campaign.
Al-Shahrani urged citizens to cooperate with the security personnel in carrying out the campaign. He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all the security sectors who were participating in the campaign for their successful efforts.
He added that the role of the campaign includes the arrest of violators of the residency and work regulations and booking those who had failed to rectify their status and referring them to the concerned authorities for further action.
Media spokesman for the Madinah Police Col. Fahd bin Amer Al-Ghannam said that the campaign will continue until all violators of the work and residency regulations had been weeded out in accordance with the security campaigns.
