HRDF offers training for high school students

RIYADH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has called for applications from students in high school for summer training programs in private sector enterprises.
The summer training program provides training for male and female students in private sector establishments during the summer holidays through the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). The establishments train the students and help them to acquire skills and practical experience during the summer holiday period that will help them to meet the needs of the labor market in the future.
Deputy Director General of Enablement and Creativity at the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Mohammed Mosly, said that the private sector establishments and accredited training centers will offer their services until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
He explained that there are two types of training, including on the job training in various workplaces, as well as training through specific training centers whose programs are funded by members of the private sector.
The HRDF will supervise the program, however, there is no subsidy being offered to the participants of the program. Despite this, the on the job trainees in private sector establishments can obtain the training bonus from the establishments directly according to an agreement between the funding establishment and the training body.
