The eighth Best Chef Awards took place in the Middle East for the first time this week, celebrating the world’s finest culinary artists at Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm. Here are the top winners.

  • Rasmus Munk

    Awarded first place, Denmark’s Munk is recognized for his unique approach at Alchemist in Copenhagen, combining theatrical elements with culinary techniques to create immersive dining experiences.

  • Albert Adria

    The Spanish chef, awarded second place and The Best (R) Evolution Award, integrates storytelling with culinary innovation at Enigma, a contemporary Persian restaurant at Palazzo Versace Dubai.

  • Eric Vildgaard

    Awarded third place, Denmark’s Vildgaard is recognized for his work at Jordnaer in Gentofte, where he emphasizes sustainable, Nordic ingredients, showcasing the artistry of local produce.

  • Rene Frank

    The German chef, honored with The Best Chef Pastry Award, crafts desserts known for their intricate flavors and artistry at CODA in Berlin.

  • Mei Kogo

    Awarded The Best New Entry, Japan’s Kogo brings a refined approach to Sushi-Meino restaurant in Tokyo, where she blends traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary influences.

  • Jaime Rodriguez

    Winner of The Best Terroir Award, Rodriguez showcases the rich flavors and regional diversity of his homeland at Celele in Cartagena, Colombia, highlighting its unique culinary heritage.
