Talal Al-Hammad has been editor-in-chief at entArabi since 2023.

He launched the media platform to cover stories about entrepreneurs and the challenges they face in the Middle East.

Highlighting problems and solutions for business innovators, the platform aims to provide a supportive community for startups in the region.

The initiative has been designed to empower young entrepreneurs and equip them with the necessary tools to grow their businesses.

In 2022, Al-Hammad also co-founded the Locate app. His main responsibilities involve overseeing partnerships and spearheading growth expansion work.

Between 2017 and 2022, he was the director of Cointelegraph Arabia, playing a key role in launching the Arabic version of the crypto industry service.

His work involved providing accurate information on crypto and blockchain projects, raising awareness of legitimate schemes, and combating scammers.

In 2010, he helped to connect testing, inspection, and certification services provider Cotecna Global with a local Saudi company, leading to the formation of joint venture Cotecna Saudi.

His project portfolio includes securing an exclusive logistics contract in 2009 with Sallyport to transport the US military from Manas, in Kyrgyzstan, to American bases across the region.

In 2008, as a consultant for QCELL, he and a partner linked Gambian firm QuantumNet with Indian investor UFlex, kickstarting the first 3G GSM telecom company in Banjul, the capital city of Gambia.

In 2007, he played a pivotal role in the signing of an exclusive contract with Gamtel, the national telecom company of Gambia, to terminate international voice traffic to the country.

Al-Hammad is a member of the Asharqia Chamber’s business council, contributing to the business community’s development with his experience and insights. In addition, he is a mentor in several startups.

He gained a master’s degree in international business from Indiana University in the US.
