GAZA: Telecommunications services are gradually being reinstated to several areas of the Gaza Strip after a three-day blackout caused by Israeli airstrikes, the Palestinian Telecommunications Co. said on Wednesday.

“Our crews are working hard to restore all communications services to what they were before the recent outage,” it said on X.

The latest collapse of internet and phone networks, which happened on Monday, was the 10th since the start of the conflict.

During the outage, Palestinians were forced to walk several miles to get a signal so they could call or send messages to friends, loved ones and the outside world.

UN officials said the blackouts had severely hampered the distribution of aid to the 2.3 million living in the occupied territory.
