RIYADH: Ƶ is set to experience significant growth in online trading with the recent agreement between the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, or ѴDzԲ’a, and the Riyadh Chamber, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Signed on Monday, the deal aims to support entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises in the e-commerce sector.
The memorandum of understanding, signed during the first day of the third phase of the joint e-commerce tour organized by ѴDzԲ’a in collaboration with the E-Commerce Council, is designed to offer training programs and advisory sessions. These initiatives will focus on improving the e-commerce landscape in the Kingdom and addressing the challenges encountered by entrepreneurs and SMEs as they navigate the digital landscape.
The tour, scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, has witnessed active participation from service providers and specialists. It encompasses discussions on building a successful environment for e-commerce development in the Kingdom, highlighting the platform’s role across various government sectors, including transportation, rural and municipal affairs, housing, and SMEs.
This collaborative effort underscores Ƶ’s commitment to nurturing a thriving e-commerce ecosystem and supporting the growth of entrepreneurs and SMEs in the digital marketplace.
Additionally, the event featured a panel discussion titled “Future trends and the role of the private sector in developing e-commerce,” where numerous industry experts participated. The conversation strived to offer entrepreneurs and SME owners insights into the latest global trends for business development.
The tour offers 10 training workshops, including digital marketing, e-platform development techniques, and payment solutions in e-commerce.
Moreover, some 16 facilitators and experts from the public and private sectors are taking part in the tour, in addition to a group of planning, strategy, sales, and marketing consultants.
It is also worth mentioning that the e-commerce tours commenced last month, starting in Jeddah and extending through the Asir region to reach the Saudi capital. The plan is to cover all areas of the Kingdom by the end of this year.
The previous tours benefitted approximately 4,000 individuals. In addition, these events facilitated 310 consulting sessions focused on business development, along with 18 training workshops.
