MINA: Saudi security forces have posted heartwarming images of personnel helping pilgrims during this year’s Hajj season.
Security personnel are monitoring safety and security in the Two Holy Mosques, Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, as well as assisting and guiding worshippers during the pilgrimage.
As summer temperatures soared to 47 C, Saudi security guards were seen spraying pilgrims with water as they braved the searing heat to reach the Jamarat complex for the Stoning the Devil ritual.
Abdullah Salim, a member of the Special Emergency Forces deployed at Mina, helped pilgrims as they entered the Jamarat complex.
“This is the first time I am on duty to serve the Hajj pilgrims, Salim told Arab News.
“It is an excellent opportunity to serve the guests of God. It feels good to be serving them, the guests of Allah. This make me feel good.”
Musallam Aldosari, a member of the Civil Defense also on Hajj duty for the first time, said: “I feel very happy to be here. I am so happy to serve the pilgrims.”
He added: “There has been a lot of preparation to help pilgrims and provide them with assistance.
“I am very happy to be chosen to serve the pilgrims, and I look forward to renew my duty next Hajj season.”
Security personnel deployed for the safety of pilgrims came with a comprehensive plan to ensure successful organization and humanitarian help.
