Who’s Who: Fayez Al-Harbi, vice president of projects at the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones

Fayez Al-Harbi has been the vice president of projects at the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, known as MODON, since March.

He is in charge of several capital portfolios of MODON’s projects, in addition to designing, supervising and monitoring several projects worth more than SR14 billion ($3.7 billion).

MODON has been undertaking the development and supervision of industrial lands and integrated infrastructure. Today, it oversees 36 existing and under-development industrial cities across the Kingdom, in addition to private industrial cities and complexes.

Al-Harbi has two decades of leadership experience in roads, infrastructure, electromechanical and building projects with major Saudi private enterprises and public institutions.

Previously, Al-Harbi worked as a vice CEO at Saudi Pan Kingdom Co. from 2021 until 2023 and as general director at Al-Enjaz for Trading and Contracting Co. from 2019 until 2021.

He also worked at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services as assistant undersecretary for operation and maintenance from 2017 until 2019, general manager of the maintenance department from 2016 until 2017, and manager of the electro-mechanical department from 2012 until 2016.

He is an ambassador of the National Center for Performance Measurement and was formerly head of the technical mechanical metrology team at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.

Al-Harbi holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, completed in 2002.

He was recognized as a Balanced Score Card Professional in 2008, an Associate Professional in Talent Development in 2010, and a Key Performance Indicator Associate and Professional in 2016.

Additionally, he was certified as a Project Management Professional in 2017, and completed other courses including Blue Ocean Management Training in 2019, McKinsey & Co. training in roads revenue generation in 2020, and executive programs in strategy and execution in 2022 with Prince Mohammed bin Salman College for Business and Entrepreneurship.
