DHAKA: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) through the Noor ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ held a one-week outreach program in Tangail city of Bangladesh, state news agency SPA reported.Â
KSrelief’s volunteer medical team examined 4,081 people, distributed 991 glasses and performed 303 successful cataract surgeries to combat blindness in the country.
The volunteer program will run through May 11 to May 18. This initiative is among the many others the Kingdom has launched through KSrelief.
One out of every 100 people over the age of 30 in Bangladesh is blind and many suffer from other eye-related problems, according to a report by The Business Standard.
