KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Mondaythat the residence of itsmilitary office chief at theembassy in the Sudanese capital Khartoum was stormed and vandalized.

In a statement carried by national news agency KUNA, the ministry expressed “the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation of the attack on the headquarters of the head of the military office and all formsof violence and vandalism.”

The ministry added that the attack wasa “flagrant violation of all international norms and rules of international law and the Vienna Convention.”

It also renewed its calls for official authorities and all concerned parties in Sudan to “take prompt measures to ensure full protection for the headquarters of diplomatic missions and to punish the perpetrators.”

Also on Monday, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said thatits embassy in Khartoum had been stormed and vandalized.
