RIYADH: German military attache Marcus Zenker expressed his delight at attending the seventh King Abdulaziz Camel Festival.
“The Museum of Weapons attracted me, as its various pieces are telling the history of the Arabian Peninsula,” he said, adding that the event had exceeded his expectations.
The six-week festival, organized by the Camel Club under the slogan “Himat Tuwaiq,” began on Dec. 1 and has been visited by a host of foreign ambassadors and thousands of visitors from around the globe.
Held 130 km north of Riyadh, the festival features cultural and heritage shows, and popular attractions such as Al-Dahna Market, food trucks and booths for Saudis to sell their goods.
