RIYADH: The King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, or Mawhiba, in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Education, announced the start of registration for the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, or Ibdaa, for 2023.
Starting Monday and running until Sept. 29, Saudi students in public and private schools between the ages of 12-20 can register for Ibdaa 2023, provided that they have a scientific project in one out of the 21 areas of national priority.
Mawhiba Secretary-General Dr. Amal Al-Hazaa praised the partnership with the ministry and its role in creating the appropriate atmosphere for male and female students, discovering, nurturing, and supporting Saudi talents and creators, improving their capabilities, and developing their scientific projects.
She stressed that Ibdaa embodies the distinctive and successful integrative partnership between Mawhiba and the ministry, which aims to provide an attractive and stimulating environment for the gifted and creativity community in the Kingdom to grow further.
Al-Hazza noted that Ibdaa is an annual event in which thousands of educational supervisors and staff from the ministry cooperate with researchers from different fields to support students in their research projects.
