RIYADH: ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held meetings with his counterparts from several countries on Wednesday on the sidelines of a meeting of the Global Coalition Against Daesh.

The aim of the coalition meeting was to coordinate international efforts to prevent the extremist group from mounting a revival in the Middle East and North Africa. In addition to foreign ministers, senior officials from dozens of countries attended the gathering at a luxury hotel in Marrakesh.

Prince Faisal met with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, who co-hosted the main meeting, to discuss bilateral relations and ways in which they might be enhanced. They also reviewed regional and international developments of common interest.

Among the other ministers he met with were Romania's FM Bogdan Aurescu and Yael Lempert, acting assistant secretary of the US State Department's Near Eastern Affairs Bureau.

The prince also held meetings with the foreign ministers of Romania, Iraq, Bahrain, Spain, Norway and the Czech Republic.
