SARAJEVO: A Saudi program for iftar in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been inagurated at the Kingdom's embassy in Sarajevo on behalf of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
The program was launched in the presence of Saudi ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Osamah bin Dakhil Al-Ahmadi, a representative of the Islamic Sheikhdom and Director of the social care and the deputy mufti for social care of Sarajevo.
The program will offer more than 1,000 food baskets to help 6,000 people.
The religious attache at the Saudi embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amer Banwan Al-Enzi, said that the Kingdom's leadership has a keen interest in serving Islam and Muslims around the world and checking on their needs during Ramadan.
For their part, several Islamic figures in Bosnia and Herzegovina praised the efforts by ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ for Islamic centers abroad, stressing that the importance of the program in bringing Muslims together for the iftar banquet.
