CAIRO: Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit has urged all Libyan parties to work toward reaching a “political consensus” for the sake of the country’s stability.

He stressed the need for the international community to support all efforts that strengthen Libyan unity and stability, and the holding of elections that reflect the free will of the people and renew the legitimacy of state institutions.
