Faisal Al-Yousef is currently the executive director of a Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development fund established in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The fund provides community relief and other social services for those affected by the global health crisis.
Between 2019 and last year, he was the fund’s program director of donations, leading the national donation platform and developing and directing a successful overall strategy for the Kingdom.
For much of the same period he also served as director general of the fund’s social responsibility department, establishing one of the strategic objectives of Vision 2030 and corporate social responsibility.
During 2017, Al-Yousef was director of international partnerships, social innovation, and entrepreneurship at the Sustainability Brand. In 2016, he was programs developer for the Salam project for cultural communication, where he developed and supported youth social and cultural programs, promoting a mutual understanding between Saudi culture and the global scene.
He gained a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 2005 from Jouf University in Sakaka, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, in 2014, and a postgraduate degree in information systems from Iona College in New York, in 2017.
Al-Yousef has received several awards, including being recognized in 2018 for producing the best programs and initiatives for orphanages in the Kingdom, coming third in the 2016 King Khalid Award for development partners, and winning the Global Thinking Innovation Center Award, in 2014.
