Saudi Culinary Arts Commission signs pact with orphans’ charity

RIYADH: The Saudi Culinary Arts Commission has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kingdom’s Charity Foundation for the Care of Orphans.
The memorandum, which comes under the framework of the commission’s social responsibility to increase economic development with social impact on culinary arts in the Kingdom, was signed in the presence of Mayada Badr, CEO of the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission, and Saleh bin Khalif Al-Dahmashi, secretary-general of the association.
In line with the MoU, both organizations will work together to enable “orphans with special circumstances” to benefit from the services provided by the commission. It will give them the chance to participate at events held by the commission and make use of sales outlets to display their products after fulfilling criteria set by the commission.

In addition, the MoU provides a framework to prepare a number of qualified students to benefit from the commission’s scholarship programs, training sessions and workshops, to develop and refine their career in the culinary arts sector.
This initiative is a part of the commission’s strategy to provide the necessary skills and opportunities for students interested in the culinary arts as well as strengthening the skills of those who are already working in the field in the Kingdom. 
The Saudi Culinary Art Commission falls under the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s umbrella, as a part of its endeavors to develop and organize the culinary sector in the Kingdom and empower its practitioners.
