Award-winning journalist Frank Kane solidified his presence in the Gulf after moving from the UK to become the director of business media at the Arab Media Group, which oversees Emirates Business 24-7.

Having worked at The Sunday Times and Sunday Business for five years, and then The Observer as its business editor for another five years, Kane brings a plethora of experience covering a range of the biggest business, energy, and oil stories from the region.

In 2016, he received the Citibank Journalistic Excellence Award for the UAE for “excellence in financial and business reporting in the markets in which Citi does business around the world.”

Kane has interviewed key industry ministers and executives, as well as figures such as former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, and Stephen Schwarzman, the co-founder and CEO of financial group, Blackstone.

A mainstay at the world’s biggest economic conferences, including the World Economic Forum in Davos and G20 summits, Kane has maintained a solid profile off-camera before also taking on the helm of Arab News’s first venture into video programming, “Frankly Speaking,” a recorded show that interviews and challenges movers and shakers, world policymakers, and influential deciders, on topics related to the Arab world.
