School supplies to be provided to Yemeni students

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has signed an agreement with Yemeni authorities to provide school supplies in Hajja, Saada, and Al Bayda governorates. The “Back to School” project will benefit 7,140 people.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beez, the center’s assistant general supervisor for operations and programs.
It also aims to provide COVID-19 protective equipment for all students and prepare 32 classrooms with equipment for schools that have been destroyed.
The agreement comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s plan to enhance and regulate a safe educational process in Yemen. Meanwhile, the center is supporting a nutrition project for children under the age of five, pregnant women and nursing mothers in the Yemeni governorates of Aden, Lahij, Taiz, Hodeidah, Hadramout, Hajjah and Marib.
The project, which aims to provide therapeutic feeding, healthcare and counseling, has helped 12,566 people in one week.
Also, Al-Jada Health Center outlets in Hajjah governorate, with the support of the center, has provided treatment services for over 3,000 people in one week.
