RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Justice said the Kingdom’s labor courts had conducted more than 330,000 hearings and issued more than 110,000 rulings in the past two years.
It said more than 30 percent of the cases last year were resolved and closed at their first hearing, 40 percent took two hearings to resolve, and the remaining cases were resolved in three sessions.
“The amicable settlement period for labor disputes is 21 days,” it added. “If no settlement was reached in that period, the beneficiary can upload the case electronically through the Najiz portal.”
The ministry has enabled the filing of all types of labor cases on Najiz.sa, whether those cases are about labor law or concern domestic workers.
