RIYADH: Ƶ’s Misk Foundation launched a youth-based program on Sunday aimed at providing effective channels for communication and discussion to engage Saudi youth across the Kingdom in community development.
The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation said the “Youth Voice” program will enable them to propose solutions and ideas that help address the challenges they face and provide them the opportunity to be active and influential citizens in society.
Through the program, Misk Foundation aims to develop young people’s self-abilities to master the arts of constructive and purposeful communication, enhance their confidence, and develop their cognitive, dialogical and intellectual abilities in expressing personal opinions and ideas.
The Youth Voice program provides an opportunity to raise local societal problems facing the Kingdom’s regions, and create solutions to help address them, in order to enhance the spirit of citizenship among Saudi youth, and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, through an interactive platform as part of an integrated educational journey organized by the foundation.
The program will be held in three consecutive stages, and its first version will target three regions, including Al-Jawf, Jazan, and the Eastern Province, represented by Al-Ahsa governorate.
The program will be launched for six weeks in each region, starting with Al-Jawf on July 28, followed by Jazan on Aug. 9, and finally Al-Ahsa governorate on Sept. 2. The foundation will also work in cooperation with the governing bodies of each region.
The program is expected to become a platform for dialogue for Saudi youth into the future, in a way that contributes to involving young people in development construction efforts, and creating a sense of patriotism among the participants in the program. At the same time, it will promote a culture of dialogue and acceptance of differences, and develop conversational skills and the arts of meaningful dialogue among Saudi youth.
The foundation called on individuals wishing to actively participate in the program and its dialogue sessions to discuss challenges and propose solutions to register via the .
