TABUK: Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan met Janet Alberda, ambassador of the Netherlands to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, along with her delegation, who recently visited the region.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
Alberda expressed her gratitude to Prince Fahd for his hospitality and indicated her admiration of the development progress in Tabuk’s key areas.
At the end of the meeting, the ambassador presented a memento to the governor.
Meanwhile, Salem Eid Al-Atwi, vice chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tabuk, also welcomed Alberda in the presence of members of the chamber’s board and a number of businessmen in the region.
During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation, issues of common interest and ways to enhance investment in promising sectors.
Recently, the Tabuk governor also met Vietnam’s ambassador to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, Vu Viet Dung, and his accompanying delegation.
During the reception, they discussed issues of mutual interest. The envoy also commended the development of Tabuk region in various fields.
Prince Fahd also met the ambassador of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Bilal Akbar, and his accompanying delegation.
The governor praised relations between the two countries and cooperation in various fields. The two sides also discussed issues of common interest.
¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ and the Netherlands have a long history of good relations that can be traced back to the 17th century.
Ties were formalized with the opening of a Dutch consulate in Jeddah, which was eventually upgraded to an embassy and moved to Riyadh in 1985.
Dutch exports to the Kingdom include agricultural products and food, while the main imports from ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ are plastic, oil and petrochemicals.
