ISLAMABAD: ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has completed its drive to combat blindness and related diseases in Pakistan’s southern Sindh province, conducting 4,000 examinations and 400 surgeries in Karachi alone, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Sunday.
A delegation of Saudi doctors arrived in Sindh in the first week of June to launch the medical campaign by KSRelief, treating nearly 5,000 people in the Shikarpur district of Sindh as well.
Pakistan is the fifth-largest recipient of humanitarian and development aid from the Saudi-based international relief agency, receiving more than $120.2 million since 2015.Â
During its medical campaign in Pakistan last year, the KSRelief said it had performed 2,500 eye procedures, while “thousands of people benefited from its free eye checkup, treatment and medication.â€
