Ƶ congratulates Egypt on efforts to free Ever Given ship in Suez

RIYADH: Ƶ congratulated Egypt on Monday for the successful efforts to free a stranded giant container ship in the Suez Canal.
The Ever Given ship that had been blocking the international waterway for nearly a week was free earlier on Monday after a huge operation.
“The Kingdom particularly appreciates the leadership of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for these efforts in dealing with the accident, and the high efficiency of the Egyptian people their dedication to restore international maritime traffic to its normal course,” a statement on Saudi Press Agency said.
Ƶ renewed its support for Egypt and its efforts to ensure the flow of navigation, maritime trade and global supply in the Suez Canal.
Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, thanked on Monday the countries that had offered to provide assistance to Egypt in dealing with crisis, at the forefront of which were Ƶ, UAE, US, China and France.
