RIYADH: Saudi authorities continued their monitoring campaigns to ensure compliance with the precautionary measures imposed to stem the spread of the coronavirus disease.
They recorded 20,502 violations of the regulations within one week, according to recent statistics from the Ministry of Interior.
Riyadh recorded the highest number with 7,422 violations, followed by Makkah (2,822), Qassim (2,178), the Eastern Province (2,132), Madinah (1,898), Jouf (1,354), Baha (897), Tabuk (477), Hail (427), Asir (367), the Northern Borders (272), Jazan (123) and Najran (84).
