Hatem Al-Kameli is the founder and CEO of Resal, which offers digital gift services, including gift cards, to consumers, corporate clients and retailers. He founded the company in September 2016.
Al-Kameli has been a board member of Oqal, the Kingdom’s first angel investor network, since September 2019, and a mentor at the Qimam Fellowship Program since June 2019.
He is the cofounder of Lucidya, which was established in March 2015, and has been a board member since January 2019.
Al-Kameli obtained a bachelor’s degree in information technology at King Abdul Aziz University in 2008. He gained an MBA in marketing from Al-Faisal University in 2012 and also attended a course in digital business strategy at Babson College in 2017.
Al-Kameli has been working as an IT professional since the early 2000s. He worked as an IT specialist at the Saudi British Bank between May 2007 and January 2008.
At Saudia airline, he worked as an IT project specialist between March 2009 and December 2009, and enterprise architect and IT strategist between 2010 and 2012.
He worked as a professional certified trainer at the Canada Global Center between February and October 2012, and was a brand ambassador at Socialbakers from February 2012 to May 2013.
He worked as a digital marketing and analytics manager at the Gulf International Bank in 2013, and was a senior adviser at the Sirb Angel Investors Network in 2014.
Between 2013 and 2016, he was an ambassador at Hootesuite Media Inc. and, in 2014, was a member of the board of the Social Media Club, a nonprofit organization and the world’s largest community of social media professionals.
