‘Inclusive’ GCC summit to lead members to ‘reunification’: Saudi crown prince

RIYADH: Ƶ is committed to achieving the “supreme interests” of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and other Arab countries, the Kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced on Monday.

The crown prince said the upcoming GCC summit, to be held in Ƶ on Tuesday and chaired by King Salman, would be a comprehensive and “inclusive” summit, one that led members to “reunification”, that reinforced the path toward prosperity and one of solidarity in the face of challenges that the Middle East region is facing.

He also said it would be a summit which would work toward achieving the aspirations of King Salman and his brothers, the leaders of the GCC states.

The crown prince also prayed for the security, stability, solidarity and cohesion of the GCC states, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The crown prince’s announcement came as Kuwait announced the Kingdom would reopen its borders and airspace to Qatar.
