Tamim Almousa is an award-winning writer and storyteller, penning feature screenplays, short films, and sketches.
Last year, his script “Knee Socks” won in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards and in 2018 his “Talk Me Down” script was a finalist in the same awards.
Other scripts made it to the second round of the Austin Film Festival, and the quarterfinals of the ScreenCraft, BlueCat, and Scriptapalooza competitions.
Almousa said: “Everybody should aspire to earn their living with dignity; doing something they believe in, doing something they’re good at.
“It’s simple. First, you embark on a journey that explores what you might be good at. Then, and this is easier said than done, you figure out ways to capitalize on it.”
Halfway through his undergraduate education (he gained a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Portland), he volunteered for the campus radio station, where he hosted a program that aired terrestrially on the AM dial and streamed live online.
He later worked for the 99.1 FM Portland Radio Project, where he wrote scripts and interview questions, pitched ideas for segments, secured guest appearances, assisted with live, on-air, music performances, and co-hosted a weekly morning and news show.
Having cut his teeth in radio, he moved on to advertising and worked his way through the ranks to become the sole English writer for the official social media accounts of Saudi Aramco, Ithra, Misk and others.
Almousa also serves small businesses by maintaining a list of happy clients who rely on his original, compelling, and breezy copy to tell their stories and reveal what they have to offer.
