Najla Al-Jeaid has been the manager for local initiatives at Alwaleed Philanthropies (AP) since 2019.
She plays a key role in supporting the AP team to drive local initiatives. Currently, she is managing a new project that focuses on developing the traditional crafts industry by training and employing women across the Kingdom.
The program has so far benefited 3,000 Saudi women many of whom are housewives. It seeks to empower a generation of ambitious entrepreneurs.
“Supporting job creation can increase opportunities for the next generation, change perceptions, improve quality of life and elevate local industries,” Al-Jeaid said.
Al-Jeaid also works on housing projects to ensure the developments meet AP guidelines and ensure sustainable growth for communities.
“We have been able to empower men, women and youth to achieve greater economic prosperity through a variety of initiatives that provide training opportunities and access to resources,” she said.
Before joining AP, Al-Jeaid worked as project manager with different projects in Ƶ. She worked with Marafq Architectural Co. overseeing all elements of design, construction drawings and scheduling from start to finish. She also worked with BluePrint Co. in Riyadh where she was responsible for project proposals and project scheduling.
Al-Jeaid successfully completed key projects including luxury retail outlets for Valentino and Dior, as well as Paul Cafe and Karam Express.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in interior design engineering at Prince Sultan University. Al-Jeaid did a master’s in business administration from Alfaisal University.
