JEDDAH: Amid reports of a second wave of coronavirus infections in several countries of the world, the Saudi Health Ministry has once again urged people to adhere to the precautionary measures and observe social distancing to help authorities effectively fight the pandemic.
The ministry on Wednesday urged those showing symptoms of coronavirus disease to visit Tetamman (rest assured) clinics to get tested for the virus.
About 235 Tetamman clinics are distributed in various cities across the Kingdom.
The centers provide a COVID-19 testing service after booking appointments via the Sehaty app.
However, patients can visit the centers without appointments if they suspect they are infected. Tetamman clinics receive those people who suffer from symptoms such as high temperature, shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, or loss of sense of smell and taste.
The ministry has also designated health centers known as Takkad for people who show no to mild symptoms of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Since its inception, Takkad centers in Jeddah have served 970,620 people.
On Wednesday, 426 new infections were reported in the Kingdom. The total number of confirmed cases in ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ since the beginning of the outbreak has risen to 348,936.

The Saudi Interior Ministry recently urged people to adhere to precautionary measures and report violators, affirming that penalties remain in place.
The ministry receives reports on 999 in all regions of the Kingdom, and on 911 for Makkah and Riyadh.
The number to report violations in health facilities is 937, and 940 is for reports about restaurants and public places.
