JEDDAH: Saudi police are investigating the deaths of five siblings whose bodies were found by their father on the roof of a house in the Eastern Province.
Residents in the town of Al-Sha’ba, in Al-Ahsa have been left shocked by the tragedy which took place on Wednesday.
A young man, and four girls, aged between 14 and 19, all from the same family, were discovered dead on a rooftop area of their home. The male deceased was reported to have been found hanging.
The incident is believed to have taken place while the parents of the young people were away from the house with five of their other children. Neighbors said the father returned to find the door to the family home locked from the inside and came across his dead children while trying to gain entry to the property from the roof of the building.

Assistant media spokesman for the Eastern Province police, Capt. Mohammed Al-Duraihem, said security authorities in Al-Ahsa governorate responded to a report of the deaths on Wednesday evening.
Forensic examinations at the scene have since been carried out and police inquiries were continuing.
Next-door-neighbor Jawad Al-Khalifa said the “tragic and sad situation” had shocked the local community.
