No coronavirus deaths reported in UAE in last 24 hours

DUBAI: The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi hailed efforts by medical teams in the UAE after the country reported zero deaths from Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan thanked the “front-line heroes” for their hard work and commended UAE residents for adhering to precautionary measures.

The UAE health ministry reported 275 new infections from the coronavirus on Wednesday, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 55,848.

The new infections were discovered after 48,000 tests were carried out.

The ministry also recorded 393 recoveries, bringing the total number of patients who recovered from the virus in the UAE to 46,418.

A total of 335 virus-related deaths have been recorded in the UAE since the pandemic outbreak.
