RIYADH: The World Health Organization (WHO) has provided Yemen with kidney dialysis machines with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief). It will benefit 2,400 patients at a rate of 150,000 kidney dialysis sessions.
KSRelief has, since its inception to date, implemented 477 health sector projects in all of Yemen’s governorates.
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has set up a joint technical team with the UN Development Program to work with the internationally recognized Yemeni government. SPA Riyadh
It followed a meeting between ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s ambassador to Yemen and SDRPY supervisor general, Mohammed bin Saeid Al-Jabir, and deputy resident representative, Nahid Hussein, in the presence of SDRPY experts and specialists. The aim is to set up development priorities according to Yemen’s current situation. The joint technical team reviews the international community’s efforts to develop Yemen and to discuss measures taken to limit the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic and mitigate its economic, health and social impact, on Yemen.
Its work also takes into account the role and significance of development and reconstruction and their implications on the country’s economic recovery.
