DUBAI: Dubai carrier Emirates will operate flights to repatriate Egyptian citizens to Cairo amid the coronavirus outbreak, state news agency WAM reported.
The scheduled flights will take place on June 14, 18, 19 and 21, the airline said in a statement.
It added that customers can also connect to the repatriation flights in Dubai from any country on Emirates’ current network of 30 destinations in the GCC region, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
“Only Egyptian citizens and those who meet the entry requirements of the destination will be allowed to board,” the airline said. It also called on passengers to comply with all rules of the destination country.
“Travelers from the UAE should arrive at Dubai International airport Terminal 3 for check-in, three hours before departure. Emirates’ check-in counters will only process passengers holding confirmed bookings,” Emirates added.
The UAE has recorded 479 new coronavirus cases overnight, raising the country’s caseload to 40,986, health ministry officials said.
