Saudi YouTubers break world record for largest virtual iftar

DUBAI: A group of Arab YouTubers in Ƶ have made history for hosting the world’s largest virtual iftar on May 19. 

The content creators —including Iraqi Noor Stars, Saudi-American Omar Hussein, The Saudi Reporters and Saudi Mohamed Moshaya, Anasala Family and Asrar Aref – broke the Guinness World Record for “Most Views for an Iftar YouTube Livestream Globally.”

“A historic day. The moment we broke a Guinness World Record for the largest virtual iftar on YouTube,” wrote one half of The Saudi Reporters Abdulaziz Bakr, alongside a screen recording of the digital iftar. “What we have achieved is because of your help. Because of your views, YouTube was able to donate $250,000 to the UNHCR,” he added.

His brother, and other half of The Saudi Reporters, Abdullah Bakr added “We made history and broke a record in the Guinness World Records. Praise be to God.”
