DUBAI: Abu Dhabi will open free-of-charge COVID-19 testing facilities for workers, the emirate’s media office announced on social media.
The move comes as a host of other testing initiatives across the UAE have been rolled out in the past few days, including drive-through testing centers.
. announced the availability of COVID-19 testing facilities that will offer free of charge testing for workers. The clinics, located in Mussafah, has been set up as part of the precautionary measures put in place to ensure the health and safety of the community.

The clinics are located in Abu Dhabi’s industrial area, Musaffah, and will prioritize low-income workers and those over the age of 50.
The department said the free testing will cover even “those who are in violation of the residency regulations.”
The UAE has conducted more than 700,000 tests since the outbreak began.
