DUBAI: King Abdullah II has issued a set of instructions to the Jordanian government during a meeting of the National Policies Council that the monarch headed on Wednesday.
The Jordanian ruler particularly called for the creation of a national database that would detail strategic reserves of various sectors from industrial, medical to agricultural.
The King likewise emphasized the importance of consultations with the country’s health officials in planning the gradual resumption of operations of some industries in governorates that were not affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
King Abdullah II called for strict guidelines to regulate the resumption of some businesses and noted importance of communicating these measures clearly to the public to ensure compliance.
He also said that any decision to partially relax curfew measures in any area or city is dependent on large-scale random testing to confirm there are no coronavirus cases there.
King Abdullah II likewise directed the government to finalize a repatriation plan for nationals studying abroad.
