RIYADH: ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ suspended travel for citizens and residents to 14 countries on Monday, and announced new cases in the east of the country.Ìý

The countries on the list are UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Oman, Italy, South Korea, France, Germany, Turkey and Spain.

People traveling from those countries or anyone who had visited them in the past 14 days would also be temporarily banned from entering the Kingdom.

Late on Monday, the Saudi Embassy in the United Arab Emirates said that Saudi citizens who wish to return to the Kingdom can do so, using the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵn Airlines flights through the Dubai International Airport during the next 72 hours. They can also return from the UAE by land using the land border crossing of Al-Batha.

The health ministry announced five new cases on Monday pushing the numbers infected in the Kingdom to 20.Ìý The new cases were all in the Eastern Province.Ìý

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s King Salman issued on Monday a directive ordering the donation of $10 million to support the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) efforts to fight coronavirus.

Meanwhile, it was also announced on Monday thatÌýpeople who failed to declare correct health-related information at entry points would face fines of up to $133,000.
