RIYADH: A major conference showcasing the latest advances in internet technology is going to be held in the capital.
King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is organizing the third session of the Saudi International Exhibition and Conference for Internet of Things (IoT). The event is being held between March 8 and 10 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
It is being supervised by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and has regional and international participants from the technology, communication and digital transformation sectors.
Technology specialists revealed that the IoT sector spent $1.48 billion in the past year. They expect a 19.5 percent spending increase by 2023.
The conference and workshops will take place alongside the exhibition with the main focus on blockchain, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Thousands of visitors from the Middle East and around the world are expected to attend the event, along with 200 local, regional and global exhibitors and 80 speakers.
