Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, rector of Qassim University

Abdulrahman Al-Dawood has been the rector of Qassim University since 2016.

Previously, Al-Dawood served as the rector of King Khalid University in Abha between 2012 and 2016. He also served as vice rector for research, development and academic accreditation at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh. He also worked as a dean and vice dean of student affairs there.

Al-Dawood began his academic career in 1993 as a lecturer and associate professor in the education department at the same university.

He has also served as the director of primary and intermediate schools affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh, and vice director of the intermediate department at the Modern Institute in Riyadh.

Al-Dawood holds a Ph.D. in educational administration from Pittsburgh University in the US.

He earned his master’s degree in educational administration from King Saud University in Riyadh, and his bachelor’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in journalism and public relations.

Al-Dawood recently visited the veterinary teaching hospital of Qassim University and held a meeting with the high commission for projects on the sidelines of his visit.

The hospital can accommodate up to 200 cases a day, at a total cost of SR87,258,073.

The administration is in a two-story building, including the main lobby and museum, a hall that can accommodate 220 people, a showroom, a central library and a cafeteria, in addition to eight laboratories and six classrooms with a capacity of 36 students each and 21 offices.
