RIYADH:ÌýA survey released by the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) for the second quarter of 2019 showed a 1.8 percent decrease in the total number of employees in the private sector from the first quarter of the same year. It also showed that the total number of Saudi employees in the private sector decreased by 1.3 percent from the first quarter of the same year.
The survey revealed that the average compensation paid to workers in the private sector increased by 0.5 percent, and that the productivity of workers in the private sector increased by 3 percent compared to the first quarter of the same year.
The study showed that the total operating revenues in the private sector increased by 2 percent, while the total operating expenses of the private sector increased by 4.3 percent compared to the first quarter of the same year.
