RIYADH: King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) will take part in the second edition of the World Tolerance Summit from Nov. 13, organized by the International Institute for Tolerance (IIT), under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. The summit is under the theme “Tolerance in multiculturalism: Achieving social, economic and humanitarian benefits of a tolerant world.”
Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Fawzan, the secretary-general of KACND, said that the summit had become an important platform for convergence and discussion on the importance of tolerance, peace and diversity. He also pointed out that the gathering of this large number of decision makers and stakeholders was an opportunity to bring about a positive change.
He stressed that KACND had implemented many programs and projects aimed at strengthening the common points among all segments of society, emphasizing the positivity of diversity.
Al-Fawzan added that he hoped the summit would come up with practical insights and recommendations to support decision makers in formulating effective strategies for civilized communication and acceptance of others without discrimination, to achieve security and peace for humanity.
