Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority

Jerry Inzerillo has been the CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) since June 2018.

Inzerillo received his bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas in 1975.

The DGDA CEO’s expertise in tourism and hospitality is unparalleled. He was CEO of the Forbes Travel Guide from 2014 to 2018 and has remained the vice president since 2018. He was also president and CEO of IMG Artists from 2012 to 2014, and president of resort giant Kerzner International between 1991 and 2011.

Inzerillo is also a philanthropist and sat as a board member for Artists For A New South Africa and the Do Something children’s organization. 

Inzerillo was awarded the Alexander Shulgin CEO of the Year in Tourism award in 2018, and is an accomplished keynote speaker, with several TEDx Talks to his name.

Recently, Inzerillo opened up the Joy Forum in Riyadh with a speech addressing entertainment giants from around the world to cultivate a “joyful culture and vibrant society.”

Inzerillo revealed Diriyah’s masterplan includes the establishment of the world’s largest Islamic museum, restoring Wadi Hanifa, planting more than 1 million date trees and transforming Safar Valley into Riyadh’s own Beverly Hills.

He stressed the importance of entertainment and fun in the vision for Diriyah, which will be provided by an array of sporting, hospitality and leisure activities. 

The DGDA was established in July 2017 to preserve Diriyah’s culture and make it a global landmark that celebrates the Kingdom’s heritage and history.
