Dr. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar is the president of King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh. He holds a senior position in the university’s College of Business Administration and is a scientific consultant at the Institute of Health Studies.

He has been a professor of the master’s program in hospital and health administration at the university’s Public Administration Department since 2005, and an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma since 2001.

He has been a consultant at the National Company for Cooperative Insurance since 2001, and a consultant at King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology since 1996.

Al-Omar has a bachelor’s degree in quantitative methods from King Saud University, and a postgraduate diploma in operational research from England’s Lancaster University.

He received his master’s degree in health and hospital administration from King Saud University and has a doctorate in the same subject from the University of Wales. 

Al-Omar and Mark Xueman, vice president of Huawei Technologies, signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of communications and information technologies. KSU was represented by the College of Applied Studies and Community Service.

The agreement came as part of the university’s efforts to link its output with the demands of the labor market, and to promote digital transformation.
